Excel
1. Locate File and Double click on it.
2. An import wizard will appear
3. Check Delimited and Comma
4. Click next
5. Click finish
6. Your data should appear in a spreadsheet format

Word
1. Open Word
2. From the tools menu select “Mail Merge”
3. Click “Create”
4. Choose “Mailing Labels”
5. Select Active Window
6. Click on “Get Data”
7. Choose “Open Data Source”
8. In the Files of Type box select “All Files”
9. Locate your file and double click on it
10. Field Delimiter should have a comma (,) click on it
11. Choose “set up main document” button
12. Choose the “address label type” under product number, then click OK


Mapping the Information

1. Click on “Insert Merge Fields” and the first record will appear
2. Click on “Insert Merge Field” (Mr.) then hit space bar
3. Click on “Insert Merge Field” (First Name) then hit space bar
4. Click on “Insert Merge Field” (Middle Initial) then hit space bar
5. Click on “Insert Merge Field” (Last Name) then hit Enter
6. Click on “Insert Merge Field” (Street Address) then hit Enter
7. Click on “Insert Merge Field” (City) then type (,) then hit space bar
8. Click on “Insert Merge Field” (State) then hit space bar
9. Click on “Insert Merge Field” (Zip Code)
10. If you want to use this as a calling list just Click on “Insert Merge Field” (Phone Number) then click OK
11. Now you are ready to print
12. In the “Merge To” box Select “Printer”
13. Click the “Merge” button
14. Click “OK”

ACT!

1. Open Act!
2. Click on “File”
3. Select “Data Exchange”
4. Click “Import”
5. In the File Type box select “Text Delimited”
6. Click the “Browse” button
7. Select the file the AJF Consultants File you wish to import
8. Select “Contact Records” only
9. Check “Don’t use predefined map” then click next and importing will begin
